A nother school year has ended. one more milestone of our education reached. one more lesson in life learned-- bringing us one step closer to maturity. for some, this year has seemed endless and unevent- ful, for others, it was filled with excitement and ac- omplishment, for all, it has been an experience that can never be again. but before these memories fade with time, pause and enjoy some moments of reflections. . . of important decisions that were thrust upon un- certain teens of an awaking sense of pride for the orange and black of taking tests and writing term papers of the mixture of mint-glo and sweat in the locker rooms of realizing that there is a world beyond Clarion of frightened seventh graders clutching their schedules of the long, dreary months of winter of band jackets, batons, guns, football mums, pom poms, and flags of reading scripts and learning dances of a strive for acceptance and search for self- identity of a winning fever that grew with every victory on field, court, mat, and track of a growing sense of responsibility of obstacles met and conquered that filled us with the glow of accomplishment of defeats that taught us the meaning of humility of the last hectic days before graduation of playing that last game, cheering that last cheer, and running that last race of signing yearbooks and saying good-by of memories captured forever on these pages--a tribute to what we Were .
