Sf' , l . gf l'k:A ' ' ' , I 'ri ' , K s 1, is . , I Despite several rumors to thecontrary, the Senior Class of 1975 makes this dedication voluntar- ily. ','Big Al did not make us an offer we couldn't refuse. Disregard two of the pictures here and note the third- Little Al. Now, how could such an innocent looking little guy be so cruel and force- ful? ls this the face of a tyrant who takes sadistic pleasure in handing out quarter errors like under- world murder contracts? Could this harmless infant wave a paddle as if it were a tommy gun, or carry out vengeful massacres on countless fish, frogs, starfish, and other helpless creatures? Cer- tainly one so cute wouldn't laugh at students' agonizing pleas for mercy, and pretend to play a 'violin in mocking pity! , ' ' Well, all good things end, people grow older, and Little Al went on to be Big Al, and even to day continues these monstrous deeds. But through all this, he emerges as a favorite teacher .of all his students--and this 'year's class is no exception. We think you're great, Mr. Arth, so we are dedicating this yearbook to you. a 6ww do 0, bUvCCLQLf?f7,,UvZfQl!O41.U4?! You get awfully tired . . . too soon. So tired that you're all alone and . the grassandtreesandworldblur. You can't really tell if that's Monk up there in front, or Ben or Scott or Barry . . . Coach's voice sounds so far away at the top of the hill. But it was worth it, wasn't it? Being district county champs the first year out. Ben being district champ with new course, district and school re- cords, and the team going to states. Yes, it was worth it. Coach Bowersox 2-2 it Originally I wasn't going to go out for cross country, but Mr. Bowersox twisted my arm and persuaded me. I'm glad I did because of om- winning season.--BenBren- iman I enjoyed cross country this year. It was an experience I won't forget. Through cross country I learned something about myself and my teammates. I found you can work hard and still have a good time. We had a surprisingly successful season. For the first year, we could not have asked for much more. --Scott Harwick This sport requires a special person to participate--like someone who is not out for football. Cross country had its ups and downs. The fact that we won is always there. Practice stinks. Races are no fun. But, before and after the race we have fun. lCheerleaders, stats., etcqlf I had to do it again--I'd give it more thought. But I'm glad I did it in 1974.--Monk , Schierberl Cross country is a hard endurance sport. To nm not less than 2.5 miles, you must be able to endure the monotony of taking step after step. First you've got the nervousness of wanting to win as you line up to start. Then as the gun goes off, the pain starts. You're always trying to catch the person in front of you. Two miles later comes the finishing sprint. Exhausted, you fall gasp- ing for breath--only to find out that you've lost. --Tim Lewis Because of our breathtaking practices with Sox's accurarte stopwatch, I enjoyed run- ning cross country. I'm glad we had a win- ning season for our first year. I will miss it. --Rick Grejda Football has given me many reward- ing experiences. Through football I have gainedthe joy of winning and the agony of defeat. Football has given me a strong foundation as I strive for ia rewarding life. --Tim Brooks My three years in varsity football were kind of disappointing. I feel that we could have won the championship any of the three years. My senior year was the most disappointing. Out of any year that was the one I wanted to get the championship the most. Football wasn't all bad though. I made a lot of friends and had a lot of good times. Practices were hard, but the gamm were fun.--Greg Rhoads For the last three years, football has given me a chance to work as a team. It also was a lot of hard work, but it has been enjoyable. --John Stroup I was disappointed this year because I thought we should have been in the championship game. For some rea- son we didn't make it. This has hap- pened three years in a row. I hope they can work it out and have a win- ner next year. --Mark Whisner Getting along with the team and the coaches is what football meant to me. Football also meant many other things that I can't find words to ex- press.--Dale Miller Being a member of the football team was quite an experience. Despite our 4-5 record, I felt that we had the best team in the conference. All in all I can truthfully say that I really do love Mr. Arth. --Lumpy Martin In spite of a 4-5 record, I felt that we could have been 9-0. Wrestling has played a very important part of my life in the last six years. It has been enjoyable for me and kept me active in sports. This is considered to be an individual sport to others, but in my eyes, I have seen as much team work in wres- tling as any other sport. Wrestling has taken me many places andl have also en- joyed meeting people from other places. --Iohn Stroup. Although the practices are long and hard, the satis- faction received after win- ning is a worthwhile re- ward. --Klancy Martin. Wrestling is a great sport as far as I'm concerned. First of all, a wrestler has to be well conditioned, physically as well as men- tally. Your mental state of mind has alot to do with the way you wrestle. Also, your body has to be in shape. As a wrestler I have learned to discipline myself by watching what I eat in order to main- tain my required weight. In order to perform your best, you have to love the sport-- Greg Magrini.
