Senior Class Hlsiory Having reached the final step on the ladder of success we recall these twelve long but glor :ous years of acting and preparing for our fu ture stardom The assembling of our talented players be gan in nineteen hundred forty five That year we made our debut as first graders After learning the essentials of life such as school and teachers we realized that homework was quite different from play Each fall we en countered larger and more difficult roles to per form Then our class was raised to the IUHIOF high stage and that one large amateur cast devel oped into several groups Girls decided it was time to become more glamorous even though the boys frowned upon it Home Economics and In dustrial Arts were added to the script Then it was time for our first premiere ninth grade graduation with a diploma as our reward After a few months rest we rose to a great er stage the glittering halls of C H S We had a little stage fright at first but we were made S welcome by the advanced actors at the Sopho more Reception All the big stars attended Then came the excitement cf our first dreamy prom Soon came the much anticupated and event ful lunuor year with choosing and ordering cf class rings privilege of eating un the cafeteria and the freedom of the gym No longer did we feel inferior Again came the annual prom and farewell to this year s qraduates Suddenly a if overnight we reached the peak of our training This has been an almost indescribable year with scholarship tests class ship the glittering prom appllcatlon for college or employment and then baccalaureate and ccmmencement a strange mixture of sadness and 'oy And now as the curtain falls we have many wonderful memories of the parts that we have played the producers and critics that have aided us in making our respective careers a success Look not mournfully into the Past it comes not back again Wisely improve the Pres e it is t I e Go forth to meet the shadowy Future without fear and with a manly heart Henry Wadsworth Longfellow 9 0 0 I - . 1 ' u , , , I . , . . . - , l ' , S ' ' , - . . - . .
