H. S. basketball boys were unsuccessful in the l95O-'Sl basketball season. They were victors of only three of twenty starts. They defeated Villisca twice, and Glenwood. At the start of the season, the material was very green and inexperienced, with only one letterman, Melvin Eichhorst, returning from the previous season. The Cards played their best ball against Creston, the last scheduled game of the season, but were not able to hold the conference champs. Clarinda placed fifth in the Hawkeye Seven Conference.
