Grlfmh' Blu Hough ufh ul Dave Schiefer Our marching band, composed of forty members, performed at all Claridon's football games, both home and away, and marched in five parades, On November 9, 1956, the band was invited to march at one of Harding's home games. The concert band, composed of sixty members, has had a very successful season. Two concerts were givei, one for a Booster Club meeting and one for the spring festival The band also performed at all C1aridon's games during the basketball tournament in the Coliseum Contest time, the highlight of the year, again brought honors to Claridon as the band won top honors at the district contest in Bascom and took a superior rating for the third time in succession at the state contest held in Ashland. The high school chorus ventured to the contest this year for the first time. They received a superior rating at the district contest and an excellent rating at the state contest.
