From Books to Business and Even Foreign Affairs Our exchange student Ximara Inglesias was wel- comed warmly by A.F.S. students when she arrived from Nicaragua. Arrangements were made for her to make her home with Joanne Lapasinskas' family. Besides being an active member of A.F.S., Ximara served in the Queen's Court. Mr. Young. head of Commercial Department, was kept busy this year finding job placements for new Co-op students. More job opportunities were available due to the fact that new department stores opened in the area. These were Yankee and Bargain Town. There are twenty library assistants this year, all with specific duties to be carried out for the week. Mrs. Turppa expects every student to learn how to type. file cards, card catologg and requisition cards. A.F.S. Bottom row: P. Melow, X. Iglesias, V. Turner, L. Finn. Middle row: L. Bornstein. A.
