W.O.C.L. LEAGUE CHAMPS FODTBALL The Clarenceville Troians 1955 football team this year took their first league championship in football since joining the W. O. C. L. in 1950. The Trojans before joining the league free-lanced since 1938 when they first fielded a football team The Trolans under Coach Nick Ianni and Asst Coach Bill Waters went through the season without a single defeat The winning streak has now been extended to eleven wins three from the 1954 season The Trolans scored 131 points to the opponents 26 Five players made this years all league selection Bruce Morene sec ond year Robert Soop Darrell Ridling Dale Devitt and Bob Barnes Bruce Morene was named All Oakland County Linebacker Bruce Morene Bob Barnes and Robert Soop were named to the Detroit Ttmes Hall of Fame Bob Barnes was selected as All State second team guard Robert Soop was voted the most valuable player by his teammates The Clarenceville team was voted 15th in the state by the Detroit Times in the Class B section The seniors on this years team are Bruce Morene John Lewis Robert Soop Gerald Vader Nelson Todd Robert Tucker Darrell Rldling Bob Barnes Douglas Vogt Charles Meyer Gene Garbin and James Jones David Hanaford and Dale Devitt were voted as the 1956 co captains RECORD FOR 55 SEASON Clarenceville Clarenceville Clarenceville Clarenceville Clarencevtlle Clarenceville Clarencevnlle Farmington Milford Northville Clarkston Holly Brighton West Bloomfield 1 ' ............ 7 ' .... ..
