foreword We, the Class of 1960, have likened our school to a tree, which in turn symbolizes the full rich life of the individual who attains his ultimate goal. The roots give our tree direc- tion and strengthg its trunk supplies the bulk of the nourishment to the growing branch which reaches out for its own pattern of growth, while our lesser branches form the other segments of the tree, supplementing its structure and vary- ing its appearance . We feel that the student-body, with con- tinuous support and guidance from the school administration and faculty fits rootsl, with nourishment in the form of vital spirit from the underclassmen fthe trunkj, with the bright foli- age and color provided by our achievements fin athletics and activitiesl, and the practical sustenance to provide a pleasant environment for growth lcontributed by the financial support of our local taxpayers and businessmenl, can achieve a full measure of accomplishment in life. As our tree grows, it strives for its partic- ular place in the scheme of life, whether it be the mighty heights of the majestic Sequoia or the fullness of a Willow. We, too, must strive to attain our place in life for then we shall be able to experience the beauty and depth that it holds. table of contents administration Seniefs athletics underclassmen activities advertising
