If the roots are deep, no wind will uproot the tree. - Anonymous - Chinese Proverb A tree that has a strong root structure will sur- vive the buffeting of storms and the heat of the day. It will grow and mature, sustained by the guidance of these subterranean sinews of strength to face yet another challenge. As we, the Class of 1960, cross the threshold of the adult world, we must also face many storms, but like the tree with deep roots , we can overcome these turbulences. Our administra- tion and faculty are these roots, for they give us the practical skills, knowledge and a sense of maturity and confidence which will make us feel more se- cure in the myriad of storms and calms that life imposes in our complicated world. irijfif,
