'RNA u f .1 J' wi' 1? gamut! af Zdacafdm To the Class of 1948 Congratulat1ons and our smcere thanks for your contr1but1on ln mak1ng thxs year another suc cessful one at Clarence Central Wlthout your cooperation as Semors and leaders, and also that of all other students, faculty parents and frlends of Clarence Central we could never progress 1n educatlon Durlng th1s past year we maugurated several new servxces and programs wh1ch we belxeve have contr1buted 1n some way toward your mterest and engoyment of educatlon A remedlal readlng mstruc tor now asslsts ln all grades where speclallzed servxce 1S needed We belleve that concentrated ef fort 1n th1s d1rect1on w1ll show conslderable xmprovement ln student gradxng and ln our over all scho lastlc standmg Assembly programs were arranged for the benefxt and enjoyment of all students ln the d1str1ct Prevlously only students mn the larger schools w1th audxtorxums had these prlvlleges Sound proyector equ1pment was purchased for assembly and class room work Th1s had broadened the audlo vlsual program Most corridor C9111IlgS 1n the Hlgh School bu1ld1ng have been covered w1th faculty Every school 1n our dlstrnct now prov1des an adequate lunch program for all students Health and Guxdance serv1ces have been expanded to the l1m1ts present fac1l1t1es w1ll permlt Further consoll datlon was made 1n the rural areas In the northern area of the d1str1ct we suspended operatlons xn one of four one room schools and graded the other three for better mstructlonal servlce Add1t1onal bus transportatxon was added for these dlstrlcts Instrumental and choral lnstructlonal servlces were expanded Transportatxon for the athletlc teams 1S avaxlable for after school practlce and after games Our athletes now get home earller m a safer and more comfortable manner The school busses have also been used to take students to out of town games The support gxven our teams thxs year IS conclu s1ve evxdence that we must contmue and expand th1S servxce The student followlng has been splendld and, as a result we belxeve more parents and frlends have followed the teams and enJoyed the Splrll of competxtlon All th1s adds up to greater school Splrlt Our most xmportant task w11l contmue to be securing and mamtalmng adequate school housxng facxlltles and competent lnstructors for a well balanced educatxonal program second to none You are 1nv1ted as alumnx to return and use those fac1l1t1es ln act1v1t1es we hope to sponsor and expand ln the flelds of adult educatxon and recreatlon We urge you to contmue your mterest and to put forth great er effort for educatxon 1n whatever fxeld you have chosen for your career whlch hes not too far ahead Slncerely Your Board of Educatlon 6 acoustical t1les to reduce no1se.
