Every' one who was there had a wonderful time. We give special thanks to Miss Gibson for help' ing us with the Prom. Without her aid and advice we would have been tempted to give up several times while preparing it. The first of our class to leave school to enter the service was Calvin Tarbell, who joined the Navy. At the end of rthe year Charles Olendorf was taken into the Army. We're proud of both of them and miss them; our classes aren't complete without them but we realize that they are doing a job that has to be done for our country. September 25, 1944. It didn't seem that we were Juniors so soon after entering Parker as Freshmen, but our last two years of high school flew by even faster than our first two years. Charles Olendorf was chosen as President of the Junior Class, Betty Sugg as Vice' President, Muriel Lane as Secretary, and Burt Witnauer as Treasurer. During this year we planned and gave our first semi'formal dance, the Junior Prom. (Not that we want to be conceited) but this dance was the best Junior Prom ever given at Parker. The gym was beautifully decor' ated in blue and silver with glittering stars hanging from the streamers and also decorat' ing the walls. One glance at our dance floor would reveal to you that our welLchosen theme was “Stardust.” We are proud to be able to say that the music was furnished by CATHERINE PLESS Katy Homemaking Course Beautician WEBSTER POHI. “Web Business Course: Accountant JOHN ROSENBACH “Jack College Entrance Composer

With Miss Jerge and Miss Gibson as advisers we have risen even above our past made records. On November 11, we sponsored a Sadie Hawkins Dance and once again proved our abilities to put a dance over successfully. The gym was decorated in brown and yellow and the art displayed was the only thing needed to top the occasion. Again this year another of our classmates left school to join the Navy, Robert Payne. More of the fellows expect to leave either before school is out or just after graduation. We’re proud of all the fellows from Parker who are in the service, but especially are we proud of the boys from the Class of '45 who are serving their country. We think of them many times in school, but especially will we remember them at graduation, wishing they BETTY SUGG Suggie Homemaking Course Beautician ROBERT J.
