She entered the second grade of Parker High School when she was six years of age. Since she always had a tunny smile for everyone she soon won the nickname, ‘Smiles’. Phyllis Ann took part in many activities, including: Junior Grange, Junior Choir, Glee Club, Dramatics and Girl Scouts.
