HISTORY OF THE SENIOR CLASS It seems but yesterday that we were inducted into the Army of High School Students at Camp Parker, and yet our encampment has almost reach- ed the termination of its fourth year. We who were called to service in September 1937, have now attained the rank of captain. When we were Corporals, our in- itiation by the Sargeants was a stirring event of major importance. We were honored to have a classmate, Kenny Moore, as a cheerleader. Advancing to the rank of Sergeant, we enjoyed a pleasant and serene year under Lieutenant Colonel Durkee. We engaged in our first two bat- tles, namely the prom and the re- sponsibility for commencement deco- rations during our existance as lieutenants. Now that we have obtained the rank of Captain, we can survey our efforts during this eventful year. They are as follows: The Halloween Dance with its original decorations, the Christmas Dance with Bob Weber's orchestra, the Valley Forge Dance with its patriotic adornments, our triple feature Fun-Nite, and our victory of the year, 'Girl Shy . We have still to anticipate in our yearly events the fish fry and the Senior Prom. We have enjoyed the four years of our encampment together and we shall always cherish the friendships which we have established here.
