“
With our school year coming to a close, we pause to look back upon the friends and happi- ness we have had. This year has been one filled with many experiences which we shall never forget. The joys, the sorrows, the fun and the hard work these are all part of our memories of this past year. In the 1960 Zebra we have tried to preserve for you through pictures these memories of C. H. S. THE STAFF We wish to thank all those who helped make this issue of the Zebra possible. An especial word of appreciation should go to the merchants and businessmen of Claremore, without which there would have been no book, and to Briggs Studio in Pryor, who supplied us with many pictures free of charge. oca I Eleven uo ns Unbeaten Zebras Run Strir emis Against Ada To Seven Yiclories For Yea !ith 22-18 Victory Zebras Shad 5RASCAPTURE U d5 J,lda RDIGRIS TITLE, r- E IAY0FF BERTH uuu  ⢠Huskies 14-E r Pioneers uuu Hshed them, sam in r iam ā sparkte 'dow v ( Johnson, av iĀ ,uen aoie to i opponent this ye - Cia remore was mo against the Huskies _______________ āL'S m V ....- iav' shPhad been ' 0,6 line to hang p 9ix P ⢠. ad bee oniy 1;30 ]eft jn ;m ā . - ā¢en bv xers of con- Ā ___ , _ , , . Sprague Superintendent of Schools, E. C. Sprague, dictates a letter to his secretary, Louise Hartline Your Days at Claremore High School are full of wonderful experiences - many of which are recorded in this yearbook. May the experiences you have had here better fit you for responsibilities in your future. Within the halls of Claremore Senior High School, the basic skills of learning have been yours to acquire. Those skills are vividly in the background of the activities portrayed in this beautiful book. To the class of 1960-Good Luck, and my sincere best wishes for the future. May 1 commend highly the Zebra staff for their efficient work in recording for the future these wonderful experiences of Claremore High School. Left to right: Ralph Lingerfelter. Forrest Beauford, C. T. Redfem, Mickey Walker. John Gilkerson. Mrs. Louise Hartline and Mr. E. C. Sprague. School Our School Board is not seen by our students in everyday school life, yet the school could not function without it. With the welfare of the school and the student body in mind, the Board does all the long-range planning for new school buildings, new teachers, and better facilities. The Board members meet on the first Monday of every month during the school year. They give many hours of their time freely to enable our community to have a better, more efficient school system. Meetings are open to the public. School Board members are elected to their offices by the community and serve a term of five years.
