HOT ENIDR ISTIJRY We forty-five green freshman entered the doors of CCHS in 1955 to embark upon our high school career. Our ad- visor was Mr. william Duffy. We were initiated by the senior class. we lost two classmates, Geralyn Lee and Harlan Johnson, when we became sophomores, but gained one in March, Har- lan Rulter. we were advised in the 1956-57 year by Mr. Norman Hanson. In our junior year, Ann wachtler joined us as Paul Hoog heem left. Mrs. Eva Lalim was our class advisor. As seniors, we still number forty-five, having gained one student, Karen Wold, and lost one, Harlan Bulter. Our advisor is the principal, Hr. Miles. L51 a Qi' if ,Sex GI, , Q11 XX-.1-'sh .7 ,ISNQ ,fg?fl .- ,. g - f gJ Time: 1969 ir, Place: U.S., Europe, and the Orient Plot: Search for 1958-59 Seniors The search started in the hometown of many of the 58-59 seniors. CLara City was now one of M1nnesota's largest cities, so we engaged the aid of the police. Starting out right we found the Chief of Police to be none other than WAYNE HARGUTH. He enthusiastically joined our search and loaned us his three best detectives, STANLEY BARNEY, ELDON AEIKENS, and CLIFFORD ANDRESEN. we left to search Europe and the Orient, leaving Mr. Harguth to search the U.S. we promised to return in one week. Our first stop was Paris, but we found that our Stewardess was ELAINE BEHRANDS. The pilot and co-pilot were WALTER BLUHM and BEREND DAVIDS. They promised to return with us and we left to search Paris. The detectives went right to work and found that LOWELL KLUVER was owner of the best nightclub in Paris. They also discovered CAROL FRIKKE was touring Europe with DENISE LANING as her accompianlst and a small orchestra of her own in which we found DEWAYNE SMITH, JEROME SECHLER, JUDY SOMMERFEILD, TOM THEIN and ANN WACHTLER, who was Carol's personal manager. while in Paris I decided to have my hair styled. when I walked into the Rltzy Salon I found LAVCNNE GEHRKE and JOANIE GERDES working under the manage- ment of JANICE GOLDENSTEIN. They had done very well in France. I hurried back with my good news and was confronted with more good news of the detectives. They had found MARCELLA BECKMAN and SHIRLEY BUHB in an Art Gallery. They had been working in Chicago and had taken a vacation. we moved on to Rome where we heard Columbia was making a movie. We hur- ried to the set and there we found LOWELL HILBRANDS directing a comedy written by NANCY GRUSSING and SANDRA MEYER. ELOISE PETERS was the star and BETTY FELD- MAN was her special halrstyllst. LAVCNNE MEYER was the dress designer. Having been so lucky we felt pretty good and we felt much better when the detectives reported they found DARREL GEHRKE working as electrical engin- eer at the new jet base just built in a small city near Rome. At the same bas they found LYLE HILBRANDS as pilot instructor in the base school. Test pilots at the school were PAUL JAENISCH, BOB STAGER, and ROGER WEERS. we went to Tokyo next. The first thing we did was tour the new hospital there. We found DENNIS WESTENDORP, the head physician, and his right hand nurse, AUDREY HAGEBT, happy to be caring for the sick. The hospital had just been completed so the American Construction Comp- any was still in Tokyo. when we heard the name 'Thang and Ostendorf Inc.', we rushed to their hotel and sure enough. There was STEVE THANG and ROGER OSTEN- DORF with their foreman, STAN OSTENDORF. Our next stop was Nan King. On an impulse we stopped in at the great Chinese School of Philosophy. It was quite a shock when we saw KAREN WOLD, LAVONNE STUTELBURG, MARY LEISER, and BARBARA LANGE studying Chinese Philosophy This was the end of our search but we had not found four of the girls. On the way back we picked up all the seniors and headed for Clara City, U.S.AJ when we arrived ln Clara City our troubles were over. Our chief had found the four remaining girls. MONICA GROEBNEB and LOIS KOENEN had been found in New York working for a law firm. SHARON GOBT and JOYCE BOIKE were found in California doing some scientific research for their new science proj- ect. Being reunited the 58-59 seniors missed one person. Their advisor and principal, Mr. Miles. Then our detectives and Mr. Miles drove up in a taxi driven by ROBERT GOLDENSTEIN.
