CLHSS HISTURY In September of 1953, U9 freshmen arrived to spend the best years of their lives in CCHS. We were initiated at homecoming time by the seniors We had two roller skating parties in our freshmen year. That year Joyce Hanen and Galen Hebrlnk left us and Robert DeGrote finished the year with us. We had the privilege of having Mr. H. Norman Hanson f0P our advisor. As sophomores we returned to CCHS with more knowledge of the schola- stic way of life. In that year two classmates left usg Dallas Hoogneem was with us half of the ea y r, and Marlys Tebben transferred at the end of the year. Mr. Hanson was again our advisor .Our Junior year provided US with much enjoyment. we held our Juni- or class play entitled, 'No More Homework,' in the first part of April. February 2 was a happy day tor the JunlOPS, for on that day they received their class rings---naturally, they thought they were the best. Marlon Knipp left us and Jim Ha ert g joined us. Mrs. Eva Lalim was our advisor- Our senior year WHS aneventfull one. On November 9 the seniors pre- sented their class play, 'It's a Great Elf ' e. Our senior pictures were taken the first part of December. Although we thought the proofs were terrible everyone was satisfied with the final prints. In May we all ventured to Chicago for four d ays of fun. The Junior-Senior Tea was ther memorabl event C ano- e . ur advisor was Mr. Miles. we ended our High School years with graduation on May 29 and bid farewell to Clara Cit High School. Y
