Wise in math, baseball, and gas-station operations, Deck is not wise about women. Spring hits him and he finds himself engaged to Marcella, Deck re- luctantly abandons college hopes and announces he would like to get married as soon as he turns eighteen. Mother says HNonsenselH Dad takes another View by letting him take full responsibilities of the service station. nwhen we come back we'll talk about your plans, Deck,-your plans for marriage.u Dad, Mother, and Kid Sister head for the lake. The service station flows over with tourists wanting rooms, Beef, a truck dr- iver, Joe Pauley, a college field man, Deck's older sister, Liz, and her insurance selling husband, John, Marcella, his fiancee with her mother, Mrs, Payne and three little hellion cousins. Dutch Kelly, the more ir- resistible of the two adventure- some co-eds, is stuck with a var- sity show, She has to write it or find someone who can. She finds music to fit them. More inportant still, she finds Deck Smith, but finds him in a mat- rimonial trap that is about to spring. Everything is ironed out and in the end Deck goes back to college,
