Officers President Max Balberde Vice President Robert Doran Secretary Treasurer Phanoy Konopaski Sergeant at Arms Derwood Adams This year's Student Body consisted of forty four nembers, which is four more than the enrollment last year The first activity of the Studezt Body this year was, as usual, the Wreshnen Initiation A com ttee of Sophnores Juniors, Senlors, and Student Body officers was aopointed to decide on the punishnentn for the freshman and the rewconers A new constitution to govern the Students at C B H S has been drawn up The original one was lost some time ago The Cheer Loaders chosen for the year were Dolores Fernandez, Patsy and Maxine ooodnan Var ous activltles were s orsored ey the Student Body throughout the year Among these :ere Tle Annual Community Chest Drive A Christmas Party, held in the school basement, featurlng a full turkey dinner with entire school faculty, their wives or husbands as guests a canned mllk UChristmas Shipn drive, partlcipated 'n by each and every student in the entire school building The Annual Carnival was staged May seventh in the school gymnasium as the last social affair of the school yfar ihe event was colorful as usual providing enterta nnent and nerriment for the guests, and funds for the student body for next year's activities uClean up Dayu kept all hands busy, even the faculty Every nook and cranry had a thorough ngoln over , ard even tho alnost everyone was pleaslngly tired at the erd of the cleanup, that C B H S prid loved Boys' Club The first meeting of the Boys' Club was called on November 14, 1947 for the purpose of electing rew officers They are as follows President Earl Doran Vice President Newsom Baker Secretary Treasurer Dewo, Adams Sergeant at Arms Clarence Miller A meetl g was called December 5, 1947 for the purpose of organizing groups of boys to gather funds for the Christmas Treat Fund he boys were divided into sever teams Each team was assigned to a certain area Everyone did a good job and we collected about as much as last year, which was a fairly large amou t A meet ng was called February 6, lJ4d, Xor the purpose 1 planxlng some actlvi les It was dec'ded to have a Father Son Party larch 19 1948 s cfer r H TF a o e r Ap The Boys' Club also assisted n the bu'ld ng of the tem is court I I I ' A. . . . , l . . . gf , , ' .
