“Qfagsfl Gff:cer5C Cgfagsfl' Sfngfog President Dewey Adams Vice President Virginia Iler Secretary Treasurer Helen Arbeiter Advisor Miss Murray Class Colors Royal Blue and Gold Class Flower Yellow Rose Class Motto To our Future The Class of '48 began school in nineteen hundred fourty four with In their freshman year they joined the Sophmores on a Freshman Sophomore Picnic, which took place at Ozette Lake. In their sophomore year they gave a basket social, which was a great success and for entertainment beforethe social they enacted a play, 'The Ghostly Passenger During this same year the freshmen joined with them for their Freshman Sophomore Picnic which took place that year at the Sol Duc Hot Springs At this occasion everyone present received a sunburn and a dusty ride in pickups to and from, along with their fun in the pool. In their Junior year the most important event of the year was the Junior Prom, held November 25, 1946, in the High School gymnasiu . Their theme for this dance was NDown by the Old Mill Stream , and the gymnasium was appropriately decorated Also during this year was the Junior Senior Banquet, held at lake Crescent Lodge in which a good time was had by all who attended This year the seniors' main activity has been their senior ball, which was held May l, 1948 This ball was held with all the beauty and dignity that is so traditional here at Clallam Bay High School The members of the class of '48 were co hosts with the Juniors at Lake Crescent for the Junior Senior banquet and as a final gesture the Senmor sneak closed the activities for the Class, to be followed only by the Senior Church Se vice and graduation. CEf7d55'3 qgvopgegga As we look into our telescope for the future C this invention is credited to the graduation Class of '48J we find many strange an unexpected things have happened to our brave l2', who departed from good old Clallam Bay High School so confidently and full of hope ir '48, Let us now scan the horizon through our telescope and peer a little closer Coming into view, who should we see but EARL DORAN Earl always has had a great passion for station wagons, and as we see him now he is out in his woodshed splitting atoms fromhis atomic station wagon, which we are sur! his ingenius brair, finding no other with such a passion, invented So we leave Earl, the atom splltter, and go o Gradually another form dimly crosses our lens and as we get clearer view, we are surprised to see VIRCINIA TLFR Virginia, who we always thought came closer to a nightingale than any other girl, is now thrilling audiences at the hetropol'tan Opera House with her voice. Virginia made the now nationally famous song, 'Mamselle from on the Spitn popular Though her sin ing career takes most of her time, she still designs some of her own clo hes and has set many styles for the newer look' of tomorrow. As our horizon grows dim er we focus in another direction and find NEVSOM BAKER. Newsom, after completimg his course in college, with the ability he always has had for understanding other peoples's best interests has become famous by inventing a special kind of corn p aster- after you use them, you plant them in the garden, and low and behold CORN!!
