Eleven days of joy at football camp. Yessiree! Eleven days to be with all their old bud- dies. What kicks! While most other school girls were vacation-playing, there were those Honeybears, kick, kick, kicking, whirling those batons, and winning for themselves, and Miss Audrey Smith, and their school, another Tri-State trophy at Kennywood. I may as well get the worst over with and introduce Butch, a swell . . . headed and good . . . for-nothing guy. He's the bully of the school, the troublemaker, the teacher-baiter. lt is my unpleasant duty to introduce Butch. This is Butch's fourth year in Clairton High, he is really not much of a student. He does have one distinction, though-he's been in more activities than any other senior, even Emily. Of course, this is the result of his having been kicked out of almost every- thing at least once. Butch committed another unpardonable sin, the eighth deadly one, and the band as a whole was forced to expel him. One afternoon while practicing his trombone solo, with drum accompaniment, he did it-he played too loudly. Miss Craven told me she remembers having had to chase sophomore Butch from her domain, the girls' shower room, but she was inclined to excuse le him on the grounds that it was a common mistake made by sophomore boys.
