M argaret Buchina Treasurer ........ .. Ann F errero Graduation is over for the class of 48', but the events and memories of past years lin- ger still in our hearts and minds. We all, at one time or another, have been guilty of wish- ing those all important years away. But dur- ing and after the Commencement exercises we have wished that, in some strange way, we could return and start anew. Even when we received our diplomas, we could not make ourselves believe that we had to leave those many happy hours behind and keep only the memories. As these memories pass in review we can- not help but think of the many exciting min- utes spent in watching our football and bas- ketball teams in action, our swimming team- the pride of our class which won their second W. P. I. A. L. Championship, the Prom with its gala dressings, lovely gowns and sharply creased suits, the importance of escorting that favorite girl, also the many tests we worried and fretted over until pastmidngiht, our first taste of government in student council with its many discussions on student problems. The final parting of friends-both teach- ers and students, which we have made down through the years-has come. We must leave this castle of guidance and go out on our own. Let us use the knowledge given to us to attain the goal set before us.
