Enhanced by a large member- ship with many well-trained voices, they developed a maturity in their sound. Chorus was privileged to represent (lairemont in such prestigious places os Seaport Village and Sea World. They also participated in the Solo and Ensemble Festival and competed in the Vocal Jazz Workshop hosted by Oick Grove. Around (lairemont, they caroled before the Christmas break and stopped by Coach Cravens' house on Christmas Eve. Special congratulations to Erin Baker for his fine audition for Sea World's City Streets routine. His exemplary performance reflects the chorus members' effort throughout the year. Tondas is o service club that extends throughout the community. An Indian word meaning friendship, this club is open to all students with good citizenship who are willing to give their time and effort helping others. This yeor the Tandas club helped Senior Citizens In- corporated and organized a canned food drive for the needy at Christmas. During the spring they went to Anaheim to participate in the leadership weekend sponsored by the Soroptimist Interna- tional. Members represented CHS at various parades including the Mother Goose, La Jolla Christmas, and Pacific Beach parodes. In December they performed in the Special Olympics. The band played at pep rallies and at games such as football and basketball. They also played at the Solo Ensemble Festival and the Concert Band Festival at Southwestern College. 1.
