a foeace The teodiers and staff ot Clairemont were on integral part of school. It was they who prompted learning, which is, after all, the whole point of school. But just like students, those “never changing adults odvally hod diverse interests and personalities. Dr. Specht was famous for his quick work on the chalkboard. Dressing up for every spirit day, Ms. Moore and Mr. Blume olways drew attention. Remember Cooch Lee's Elvis Costello complex, Ms. Duris and her school plays, Joe Olivas and his John Wayne occent? fierce advocates The administration was perhaps the most impor- tant branch of the school's faculty. It kept the entire school running. Administrators not only saw to the general discipline and behavior of the school, but performed mony other duties as well. A few of these included ensuring that bills were paid, dealing with parents and surrounding neighbors, and most im- portant of all, making sure that the students were working as well as they possibly could. The counselors mode this school accessible for the students. Through them, we were able to revise our schedules, work on grode problems, and use the large resources the school had to offer. Unfortunate- ly, this year we lost Ms. Eves, but she wos ably replaced by Mrs. Rowe. Counselors worked as links between the students ond the school and teachers. Through some mysterious way, the counselors were able to moke sure that every student received the best possible education. W«kM McFoddtn - Principal
