The Great Escape is a community effort to show Clairemont High and Morston Middle School students that there ore fun activities more healthy than driijj and olcohol use. This highly anticipated event took ploce on the foot- ball field, with many people volunteering their time and attention to the hobbies that bring joy to their leisure hours. Booths were set up showing a multitude of ac- tivities, including boating, cooking, textile crafts, stamp collecting, and much more. A band colled Bastille played to the crowd, and prizes were owarded to the winners of an essay contest with a drug-free theme. The Great Escape prompted many people to think about the ploce substonce abuse has in their lives. Thanks to the effort of Cloiremont High School, parents, and community members, every student got to see that drugs oren't necessary to just hove a greot time! STUOCMTIK 41
