evan, z mC peace The Chiefs foced University City for the 1987 homecom- ing gome. Even the spirited crowd ond olumni couldn’t cheer the Chiefs to victory. But though the Chiefs turned the ball over a number of times, they manoged to tie with the Cen- turions. The cheerleaders led off halftime activities with a dance number. Other events included a stunning and unique performance by the Clairemont High School band. A parade of original homecoming floats followed. The sophomores took first place with their Giligon’s Islond float, while the cheerleaders caught the Spirit Wove for a second place win. The juniors Rose High and took third prize off the frock. HaKtime concluded with a parade of the homecoming court in a collection of classic Thunderbirds. Homecoming '87 — a great show of pride for Clairemont High.

HOMECOMING COURT flMce tui6en I STUDENT LIFE One of the most ontkipoted ports of the homecoming festivities is the election of the homecoming court. The 1987 homecoming court wos elected os follows: Homecoming king ond queen: Cercy Moore ond Amonda Curtis. Senior attendants: Elvio VonEs, Mott Little, Rosie King, Carlos Armenta. Junior attendants: Cherie McKenzie ond Ulisses Her- nandez. Sophomore attendants: Leslie Larranaga and Corlos Vosquez. Freshman attendants: Mario Alvarez and Moises Neri. The selection of homecoming court is an important way of uniting individual classes within Cloiremont High. For oil of Cloiremont High, Homecoming '87 wos a success.
