MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED Roxanne Ruzic and Jeff Rutland We all know that those people we think will succeed end up os bums in some alley. So here are Jeff and Rox- anne, doomed to a future of ripped upholstery, graffitti, and the lonely stroins of the blues on a soxaphone. To eorn this distinction, the two ended up in the top ten academically, with plans to go on to college. Class presi- dent his junior and senior years and member of the foot- ball and baseball teams, Jeff was a successful guy. He was a representative to Honor Seminors of Son Diego and Boys' State, as well as several other leadership ac- tivities. Roxanne also took on responsibility as a representative to Honor Seminars of Son Diego, Senior (lass Secretary, and Editor of the yeorbook. She was also a National Merit Semi-Finolist, not to mention the biggest pun-teller at C.H.S. A combination of leadership, intelligence, and personality ensures a promising future for these two pretty swell people. MOST ATHLETIC Jennifer Taylor and Chris Box hose two outstanding athletes were an excellent exomple of ol spirit. Chris Box was Clairemont's only freshman varsity ball player bock in 1984 and was also an incredible ;Her. Jennifer played varsity basketball and also ran cross- try and track. With such a history in athletics, Chris and Jen- r are bound to be seen ploying pro sports in the future. BEST DRESSED Stefanie Mount and Chris Dragman These two stylin’ seniors substituted Clairemont's halls as runways to model their sophisticated manner of dress. It was not an extensive or expensive wardrobe that set Stefanie and Chris apart from the crowd, but rather it was how they presented themselves os unique individuals. We expect great things from these creative and innovotive fashion plates. SENIORS tSl

c tt ift ice MOST DEDICATED CHIEFTAIN Denyce Hobgood and Aaron Brown School spirit is what set these two Chiefs apart from the rest. Last year’s Chairman of Student Af- fairs and this year's Chairman of Hospitality, Aaron was an active part of C.H.S. His participation in foot- ball, cheer, and golf also distinguished him as a dedicated Chieftain. Denyce was a big port of A.S.B. for four yeors. She was doss Vice President of her freshman and sophomore years. Vice President of A.S.B. her junior year, and President of A.S.B. this year. Her long-standing dedication to the school wos also shown by her participation in soccer and soft- ball, her work os President of S.A.D.D. and an overall enthusiosm that was exemplified by her involvement in the Rowdies. When it comes to the spirit of orange and blue, these two hod enough for the whole school. CLASS CLOWN Rosie King Rosie's outrageous personality set her opart as the femole counterpart of class clown. She spread her enthusiosm to the school by participating os one of the spirited mascots. Here, she displays her spunky, punky attitude with mohawk and oil. CLASS CLOWN Brent Beltran Brent won his position os doss clown by usin natural tolent of being absurd. CUTEST COUPLE April Harrelson and Craig Dinger After going steady for more than three years, April and Craig were without a doubt the Class of 88’s cutest couple. In a world where high school relationships come and go like the tide, these two have shown us that true love is still obtainable. Now that our high school lives are approaching the final curtain, the question re- mains: will April and Craig still be together at our ten year reunion? PRETTIEST EYES Shana Hale and Joe Berner With looks that could stop chieftains deod in their tracks, these two hod visions of loveliness. In the dazzl- ing depths of blue and green, dossmates explored the beauty of Shana’s and Joe's eyes. Thankfully, the two saw fit to lower their Ray Bans for us and show off the eyes that evoked the stares of millions. MOST INNOCENT Tuanh Do and Pat Burrus Tuonh and Pat were known for their somewhat quiet ways. Here, cuddling with their friends, are the stereotyped innocents. Maybe not the biggest party animals (like their friends in the picture) or the biggest flirts, these two, despite their label, were not without style or personality. Undoubtedly amused by the “inno- cent label, Tuanh and Pat might have been a little less than naive. For all we knew they could have been think- ing, if only they knew .. 152 SENIORS
