THE WORKING CLASS Cor poyments, tar insurance, gos, clothes, prom, grod-nite, the list goes on. An endless amount of expenses bombarded Claire- mont's seniors. Knowing that porents were less thon willing to fork over the bucks, we were forced to go out into the real world and get ... JOBS! Most of us had been working since 11th grade, so the job market wasn’t anything new. Knowing that well-paying, prestigious jobs were unobtainable, we stooped to working in the dreory grease holes known as fast food restaurants. A few were lucky ond found jobs bagging groceries at Vons or working at the local movie house, but the rest of us sweoted it out at Taco Bell, Oel Toco, various pizza parlors and other assorted fast food joints. The Closs of '88 was not only the upper class but olso the “working class.” 5. Do these two go everywhere together? 6. Yes I love my job, soys Tim McMohon. 7. Sondy Flores: A hoppy Toco Befl employee. 1. Soy cheese! Whot? More cheese on your pizza? osks Pete. 2. Angie tries suggestive selling. 3. Jeanne enjoys the excitement of on afternoon at Vons. 4. Mike looks like he's reody to throw his fries. SfNIORS 147
