The starting five consisted of guards Kelly Smith and Erkka Weber, forwards Jennifer Bell and Heather Mottler, and center Maria Draskovic. The team's scores don’t give justice to the hard work ond ef- fort put in by everyone on the team. This year there were a lot of new girls that had to learn the ropes of basketball, but with the Coach's hard practices the team began to blend together. The Chiefs' win against U.C. was a very enlightening game. I think it gave us a lot of encouragement. It showed us whal we really could do, said Jennifer Bell. Teamwork wos a very big factor in the U.C. game. The girls all worked together anc gove each other much support. The Chiefs were really moving.
