J We The boys’ varsity basketball team didn’t fare os well this year os exported based on lost year’s performance. After losing many starting players who graduated, Coorh Lee had to train many new ones. Despite these setbacks, they played with respect. Many of the games lost were very close, with the other team coming out on top in the lost few seconds. Coach Lee com- mented on the game they won, We beat the league champion, Kearny. That was the only game we won; kind of strange. The team did play excellently overall when compared to schools it was up against. One of the outstanding athletes of team was Ray McDavid, who made first string on the all-league team. He also took first place in the league dunking contest. Other exemplary players were graduating seniors David Koonin and Lamont Jackson; both excelled in the sport. Good job, Chiefs! Top: John Cummings, Roy MrOcvid, E. J.
