Their record of one and nine doesn't give credit to the team's determination and perseverance. The tough attitude these athletes hod is exemplified by the quarterbock's eleven touchdown passes during league play. Against Mission Bay, our defense kept their offense to six points during the first half, though they had previously maintained an overage of thirty points a game. In another gome, Bogar Lozano returned two kickoffs, running eighty yards for a touchdown on each. Unfor- tunately, one was colled bock for a penalty. Lock of experience was the team's main problem toward a winning drive. Rules of the game aren't easily recalled under pressure in some cases. In one game the Chiefs’ quarterback threw an interception pass which wos run for a touchdown. After the play was completed, one of the offensive linemen asked Coach Gibbins if he wos allowed to tockle the runner. The season overoll could be described as a learning experience, but the players still came out with their heads held high, looking forward to next year. Junior Varsity Football.
