It is a program in which students research and then represent countries in conferences not too different from those of the reol United Nations. By studying diverse topics, delegates seek to olleviote world problems and often discover how difficult it is to keep the peace Ceven amongst themselvesj. Through exploration of varied cultures and values, students learn to look at the world more objectively and gain a better understanding of politics, as well. Clairemont also runs the Junior Model United Nations, a similar conference for junior high schools.
