It is a program in which students research and then represent countries in conferences not too different from those of the reol United Nations. By studying diverse topics, delegates seek to olleviote world problems and often discover how difficult it is to keep the peace Ceven amongst themselvesj. Through exploration of varied cultures and values, students learn to look at the world more objectively and gain a better understanding of politics, as well. Clairemont also runs the Junior Model United Nations, a similar conference for junior high schools. Seminar Club , Seminar is an accelerated program for academically talented students. The nearly thirty members meet weekly under the guidance of llaria Krejer, Betty Olson, and Pam Ramsey to listen to and talk with guest speakers, to discuss topics of common interest, and to give their own seminars. Seminar students are known for their creativity and off-the-wall ideas and customs, which are openly expressed in room 308. 1 Students concentrate on lunch during a seminar meeting. 2.
