Our C.I.F. chances were lost when University defeated La Jolla. Still, we ended the season 5 5 including a forfeit. Even with the drastic overhaul of the coaching staff, the Chiefs played excellent football all season. Some of the outstanding players were Greg Gibbons QB, Eddie Taylor WR DB, Jamel Miller WR DB, and Craig Spriggs TE. This year, Nate Wright, former defensive back for the Minnesota Vik- ings, was the head coach. Fifteen Varsity players will be graduating this year, leaving thirteen players for next year's team. Hopefully, the returning players have benefited from their season with Coach Wright and will produce another winning season next year. 1.
