DRAMATICS It was a busy theatrical year at C. H. S. starting o with the postponed junior-now senior-class play What a Life with Amory Lynch as the famous Henry Aldrich. Then came the Quivira League Drama Festival in which we played host to eight nearby schools. The speech c1ass's Balcony Scene rated a I at this event and also at the regionals in Hays. Frances Christie, Betty Merklinger and Pat Donovan each received much acclaim for their solo readings. Spring saw the junior class make its first dramatic efforts in Meet Corliss Archer with Nancy Moran in the title role and Joe Chism as the squeeky-voiced adoring Dexter Franklin. ---- 1 9 'QW L, , .
