Foreign language Department Clackamas High School offers its students four foreign languages: German, Spanish, French, and Latin. Each class incorporates a variety of teach- ing methods. Foreign films, magazines, and text- books help supplement materials used in the basic curriculum. The department now sponsors a foreign exchange program, which this year enabled three Clackamas students to spend part of their summer in Mexico. During this year two Mexican students studied and observed at Clackamas for several weeks. Conversion of an idea into a tangible product is a rewarding experience for those enrolled. Either as a lifetime occupation or a challen- ging hobby, the skills learned in these classes are practical and helpful. enrolled in vocational agriculture. Familiarity with plants, animals, and machinery is gained by working at the land lab and in the shop. Each boy must complete several projects during the year. Both lively games and vigorous exercises are employed to aid each student's well being. Each season brings its own series of new ac- tivities-- football, basketball, t u m b l i ng, soccer, volleyball, tennis, weight- lifting, and many others. lt is the hope of each P. E. instructor that every student develops an interest in a physical education activity which he can en- joy through his lifetime. DAVE WILLIAMS
