As fresh- men, students learn about the geographic characteristics of our world by making maps, charts, and individual oral reports. In the sophomore year students gain an insight of man's po- litical and social developments in world history. The area of history is narrowed to the United States in the junior year. Films, television programs, and recordings are used to help dramatize the growth of our country from its independence to the current presidential campaigns. Current issues of great concern make up the modern prob- lems class curriculum. Visiting political aspirants explain the issues of the time. The United States' role in world affairs is examined by students in international relations classes. And this year several Clackamas students participated in the mock Republican Convention held in May.
