M Ku Doug Dixon Jerry Henderson - Honorable Mention Bill Law 2nd team an Star Captain Honorable Mention Wrestling Stand ou Is Take an athlete that is quick, has agreat sense of bal- ance, is physically superior in strength, who is willing to dedicate himself to learn the fundamentals he needs, and who has an intense desire to win. Work him hard so that he will develop the necessary stamina to go full speed for an entire match. Teach him, nurture him. Beat him down, and help lift him up. Help him develop poise, self- con- fidence, mental toughness, self- discipline. Inspire him, work with him, and before he graduates from high school he may be lucky enough to become a state champion. To be a state champion is the hightest goal of every wrestler, so understandably every wrestler can'tbe a state champion. But every athlete is a winner if he believes in the principles and ideals of athletics and tries to live by these in achieving his goals of becoming a champion. We had no champions this year- - we had many wi nners. Coach Giester Tom Shields lst team all- Star Captain Ed Moore Honorable Mention 177
