principal Climaxing his career in the field of educa- tion, John Kohl received his Doctor of Edu- cation Degree at the University of Oregon this past year. This highlights his list of ac- complishments, which include a Master of Arts Degree from State College of Iowa and a Master of Education from the University of Oregon. An interest in people and places has taken Dr. Kohl throughout most of the United States and parts of Mexico and Canada. His job experiences include many varied fields: construction, factory work, truck driving, insurance sales, and college teach- ing. assistant principal A familiar face in a new role best des- cribes Mr. Robert Newton, this year's assistant principal. Since 1960, he had taught sophomore health education and junior-senior health seminar at Clacka- mas. As assistant principal, he has charge of attendance and discipline. He is also the Student Council advisor. vr,. .':i i i zt. boys' and irls' deans Mr. Hogue's experience in the field of education includes a long list of accomplishments associated with Union High District No. 5. He has devoted fif- teen years to our service, including two years in guidance and two years as Dean of Boys. Along with her many duties as Dean of Girls, Mrs. Folden still finds time to be active as the advisor for Girls' League and as the chairman of the Guidance Department. Her interest in travel has taken her on many voyages throughout Europe, around the world, and into Alaska and Hawaii. 251
