Principal Mr. John W. Kohl Of all the positions in education I have held, I consider the principalship at Clacka- mas High School to be the most rewarding and satisfying. Clackamas High School's new principal, John W. Kohl. has certainly had a wide variety of experience in the field of education. He graduated from high school in McGregor, Iowa. in 1947. He then went on to the State College of Iowa on an athletic scholar- ship as a baseball player. After receiving his B.A. Degree in I95l, he coached and taught at Bennett, Iowa, before moving to Oregon in 1954. He then taught and coached three years at Sutherlin. Oregon, and worked as a school superintendent at Alsea, Oregon, for two years. In 1960 he completed his Master's Degree at the University of Oregon. He then went to Pleasant Hill, Oregon, where he was a principal for fotur years. Before coming to Clackamas High School this year, he spent the academic year 1963-64 working on his doctorate at the University of Oregon. l 4l

A familiar face to all Clackamas students is Mr. Dan Clifford. His main position is that of Vice Principal, but he also man- ages to be Student Council advisor and discipline counselor. He is always busy helping the students and is available for advise most of the time. Mr. Clifford came to C.H.S. in 1957 and has been a vital part of the administration ever since. Mrs. Ethel Folden, one of the busiest persons at Clackamas, is Dean of Girls. Although she is advisor of Girls' League and a counselor for our school, she is never too busy to talk to the students. Mrs. Folden has her B.A. from the State Teachers, College at Minot, North Da- kota and her M.A. from Oregon State Univerity. Mr. William Johnson, Dean of Boys, has been with Clack Hi since its first year in 1957. He is the advisor for one of our largest organizations, being that of Boys League and also he is a very busy coun- selor. He helps in organizing the forecast- ing program and freshman orientation. 1
