MR. CLIFFORD SNIDER Chief Snider, Athletic Director for eight years at Clackamas High, has announced his resignation as the head of our athletic department. He will continue his career as a P. E. teacher. Mr. Snider felt that his overactiveness in the athletic program kept him away from his family. His sacrifice will allow him to spend more time with his family. Mr. Snider broke into coaching thirteen years ago as a head basketball coach, first at Tigard and then Molalla. One of his Molalla teams placed third in the state tournament. The following fall he became athletic director of the newly constructed Clackamas High School. During his eight years at C.H.S. he watched the school expand from 600 to 1500 students. Mr. Snider has been head golf coach, assistant football coach, assistant basketball coach, P.E. chairman, intramural director, administrative expert on the athletic budget, and has held numerous other offices. With all these activities, Chief Snider has still found time to attend most athletic functions. The administration, but most of all the students, are indebted to the unselfish attitude that has motivated this man into making Clackamas a better high school.
