ART The purpose of art is to develop practical and useable skills in are and other subjects and to develop skills for school activities, creative expression in all mediag talents and interests of students will be encouraged. The art department is very active. They have painted the decorations on-the gym' floor, and the lettering and cavalier on our gym wall. They also did the silk screening for the pennants. Some of the classroom activities are silk screen projects for the school. lettering, oil painting, water colors, sculpture, weaving, metal tooling, poster design, silk, paper sculpture, sketchingf and perspective drawing. The art classes put pictures on exhibit at the Clackamas County Art Exhibit and the Oregon Education Association Spring Conference.

INDUSTRIAL ARTS The purpose of Wood Shop IS to permit those students interested in working with wood to develop their skills in the fields of milling, carpentry, cabinet making and furniture making. Some of the projects you'll find going on in Wood Shop are hand tool projects, machinegprojects and selected furniture projects such as tanning and making such things as lamps, coffee tables, desks and chairs. Metal Shop gives those students interested in the sheet metal trade experience in working with metals and tools. They have an opportunity to work with such art metals as copper, brass. and aluminum. They also becomefamiliar with the use of wrought iron in the fabricating of furniture and other products.
