TEAC HER'S APPRECIATION DAY The Teacher's Court The third annual Teacher's Appreciation Day Assembly, sponsored by the Teachelons, was enjoyed by the teachers and students alike. As Ken Alcorn, master of ceremonies, announced the teachers, they were escorted to the foot of the throne where Ken dubbed them knights and ladies of the Square Table. Ardie Olson, Teachelons' president, pinned corsages and boutonnieres on the teachers. The high point of the assembly was reached when Mr. Boyd Jarman and Mrs. Bess Willianls were announced as Prince and Princess of the Teachers' Court and Mr. Jim Smith and Miss Dorothy Allen were crowned King and Queen. PERSONALI TY PARADE Dancing after the coronation. Mr' and Miss Pe1'S0flHlili6S The Persona,!ity,Parade, the first dance of the Spring season, was sponsored on March 25 by the Boys' and Girls' Leagues in the cafeteria. Mr. and Miss Personality from each class had been chosen earlier in the week by the various classes. These students, chosen as most popular by their classmates, were crowned at the dance by .ludy Garrison and Charlie Hinkle. Entertainment was provided by Carol Cerrior, who sang with her usual style and grace. After the crowning ceremony, a tro consisting of Ken Alcorn, Dean Osterman, and Ricky Reents sang for the entertainment of the crowd. COTTON BALL Decorations 1IlClllfl6d afwishing well, swing. The Cotton Ball King and Prmcess and magnolia tree. Kappa Chils annual Cotton and Cord dance was presented this year in the theme Cotton Ball. The decorations were done in southern plantation style, and were highlighted by a magnolia tree in the center of the cafeteria. There was a cotton field scene on one of the walls., and a swing and wishing well completed the picture. Refreshments, which consisted of Hpretendw mint julipst and shortin' bread cookies, were served by a Negro mammy. Ray Horn presided over the music with help from recording star .lack Larson. The highlight of the evening was the coronation of the Cotton Ball King, Don McKinney, and his princess, Charlene Wilke.
