VALENTINE FORMAL Misty Hearts Dream, the very successful Valentine dance, was sponsored by Future Homemakers and Future Farmers on February 5, 1960. It was the most beautifully decorated dance of the year. The pink and white decorations consisted of hearts with the couples' names, a large pink hanging heart, and a beautifully decorated stage for the Queen and her court. Music was provided by the popular Don Scott Combo. The evening was highlighted by the crowning of Queen Dana Roth and her court, Princesses Sandra Bergstrom and Penny Hunter. HOMECOMING DANCE Many students enjoyed the Homecoming Dance. Homecoming Court. The Homecoming Dance was held after the Clackamas vs. David Douglas game. The Lance Staff sponsored the dance with proceeds going to the yearbook. Goal posts, nlegaphonesffoot- halls, and a huge mum made up the decorations. The Homecoming Court, consisting of Queen Patsy Kelley, Princess Barbara Hardt, and Princess Ginger Hudson, reigned over the dance. The dance was a memorable ending for the 1959 Football Season. Pi Beta, Clackamas service club, held its first Christmas semi-formal dance, The Twelve Days of Christmas. Dance music was provided by Don McKinney's dance band, The Don Scott Combo. Princesses, depicting the theme of the dance. were chosen by the teachers. The teachers chose who they thought were the twelve outstanding girls in the school. based on school spirit and well-rounded personality. BEAUX-ARTS BALL The dance was an all-stag dance. Punch Bowl ? ? ? The Beaux-Art Ball, sponsored by Girls League, was held after the Clackamas vs. Astoria game. Decorations for the dance consisted of large painters, pallets and paint brushes. A modern-art picture, created by everyone at the dance, was given as a door prize. 'Refreshments for the dance was punch served in a large bath tub. p INTERNATIONAL DAY Row 1: Cary Bowen, Murdani Martin, Oswaldo Esperat and Bill Davidson. Row 2: Pat Lawler. Farideh Anousheravani, Barbara Forman, Rana Carpat, Wendy Hlavka, Nilza Ericson, linda Hart, Marta Schmidt, Linda Williams, Vicki Morud, Inger Saedder, Yvonne Hegg, and Ursula Berst. The International Day assembly which was held at Clackamas High on March 11 proved to be very entertaining and informative. Eight Americafi Field Service students from other countries participated in the assembly. Each exchange student had a host or hostess who showed them around the school, took them to their classes and then to their home for dinner. An assembly was held at which time each exchange student told about his or her country and about their lifc hcre in America.
