HOMECOMING DANCE Many students enjoyed the Homecoming Dance. Homecoming Court. The Homecoming Dance was held after the Clackamas vs. David Douglas game. The Lance Staff sponsored the dance with proceeds going to the yearbook. Goal posts, nlegaphonesffoot- halls, and a huge mum made up the decorations. The Homecoming Court, consisting of Queen Patsy Kelley, Princess Barbara Hardt, and Princess Ginger Hudson, reigned over the dance. The dance was a memorable ending for the 1959 Football Season. Pi Beta, Clackamas service club, held its first Christmas semi-formal dance, The Twelve Days of Christmas. Dance music was provided by Don McKinney's dance band, The Don Scott Combo. Princesses, depicting the theme of the dance. were chosen by the teachers. The teachers chose who they thought were the twelve outstanding girls in the school. based on school spirit and well-rounded personality. Rick Reents. student body president. crowned Vicki Morud, a junior girl, Queen of the Twelfth Night. Princesses were: Joanne Bergstrom. Susie Breitenstein, Rose Marie Budiselic, Paula Cerer, Sherry Jager, ,lean Johnston. Cathy Loftus, Marlene Rasmussen, Dana Roth, Ronna Lee Wald, and Kathy Wcfsting.

DOGPA TCH DAZE The Dogpatch Daze was one of the most colorful and enjoyable dances of the fall. It was complete down to the marriage license and the pie eating contest. Barbara Hardt and Don Wiles proved to be the fastest pie eaters in the pie eating contest and walked off with the first prize. a cocoanut cream pie. The best costumes weer worn by Karen Carboneau and Don Boss which won them the honor of L'Mr. and Miss Dogpatchfi There also was a prize for the best vege- table corsage which was won by Ginger Hudson and Gordon McFarlane. The dance was sponsored by Letterettes and it was considered a huge success. After the dance, the girls whisked their favorite boys out for the traditional treats. VALENTINE FORMAL Misty Hearts Dream, the very successful Valentine dance, was sponsored by Future Homemakers and Future Farmers on February 5, 1960. It was the most beautifully decorated dance of the year. The pink and white decorations consisted of hearts with the couples' names, a large pink hanging heart, and a beautifully decorated stage for the Queen and her court. Music was provided by the popular Don Scott Combo. The evening was highlighted by the crowning of Queen Dana Roth and her court, Princesses Sandra Bergstrom and Penny Hunter.
