HELLO WEEK BLAST OFF . . . Rocket Ships, Flying Saucers, and Green Martians invaded Clackamas High in Septem- ber. The second week of school was Hello Week at Clackamas. The purpose of Hello Week was to get the Freshman acquainted with the Upper Classmen. Evelyn Marks, a freshman girl, received a prize for getting the most signatures on her Hello Tag. The Junior and Senior Classes bought the most Hello Tags. VICTORY BONFIRE In order to celebrate the first game on the Cavalier football field, Sigma Epsilon sponsored the Bonfire. The Rally Squad led students in yells. Coach Miller gave a tak about the team, and an Astoria fisherman was burned in effigy. Then everyone was off 'to the Kickoff Dancel' sponsored by the student council. FRESHMEN INI TIA TION Freshmen Initiation took place during an assembly which was sponsored by the Student Council. During the assembly the freshmen entertained the rest of the classes by showing their skill in a potato race consisting of just the girls and a peanut race for boys only. The last event was a balloon breaking contest with both boys and girls participating.
