' MAY COURT QUEEN SHERRY 1 PRINCESS LENORE PRINCESS PATSY For the first time, Clackamas had a May Day celebration, sponsored by Boys' League. On May 2, Students were excused from classes during the afternoon to take part in various activities, including a track meet, a tug-of-war between the junior and senior classes, and a concert by the music departn1ent. Students were allowed to wear casual dress to school that day. and many boys appearejl in Bermuda shorts and Calypso pants. The high spot of the afternoon was the eoronation of Queen Sherry .lager and her court, which consisted of Princesses Lenore Pense and Patsy Kelley and Maids of Honor Pat Lawler, Peggy Landis, .ludy Garrison, and Sharron DeWaide. HOMEMAKER OF TOMORROW In February, 1960, Penny Hunter was selected as Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow from Clackamas. Penny took the test in December along with many other senior girls. Because Penny received the highest score at Clackamas she will automatically go into the state competition for Oregon. Penny has taken Home Economics for four years and is planning on going to Oregon State College and major in Home Economics. Penny Hunter LOYALTY DAY PRINCESS Vicki Morud was elected by the junior Class as Loyalty Day Princess from Clackamas High School for 1960. Vicki represented our school as a member of the Loyalty Day Court and competed against girls from four other schools: Milwaukie, Oregon City, Oswego, and West Linn. She will participate in various activities throughout the coming year. Vicki Morud BOY OF THE YEAR The Boy's League Council chose Bob Dallman as Boy of the Year for 1959-60. He was chosen for his exceptional service to the school and 'for his scholarship, leadership, and character. He has set an excellent example for all to follow throughout his high school career and was an outstanding choice for this honor. Bob Dallman GIRL OF THE YEAR Pat Lawler, a senior girl, was chosen uGirl of the Yearw by a Cirl's League committee from the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes. She was chosen on forty per cent service to the school and community, forty per cent character, and twenty per cent scholarship. Pat is truly an out- standing girl and deserves this great honor as being Clackamas' First 65Girl of the Year. Sherry Jager and Patsy Kelley were runners up. Pat Lawler
