. . . The Glee this year is primarily a training class. The main purpose is to teach the students how to read music at sight. .he Senior Choir is the goal of the Glee members. GLEE Instructor: Mr. Dean Qualls. Row l: Norma Mathis, Pat Chester, Sally Vog, Margaret Schmidt, Carol Blake, Pamela Swadener, Molly Dawson, and Jeanette Smith. Row 2: Deanie Floyd, Sharon Rhinebold, Barbara Brownell, Sharon Pierce, Barbara Johnson, Linda Gainer, Barbara Peterson, Stephenie Rhodes, and Shirley Marvin. Row 3: Russell Myers, Jack Hattan, Ron Melspaw, Steve Stone, Paul Petrequin, and Eddie Chapman. DANCE COMBO . . . The Dance Com- bo was organized this year by the students in it. Aside from the school performances, Boys' League meetings and school dances, they played for a number of dances where they were feat- unred. Standing: Mike Darnell, Mr. Dean Qualls, Merle Hlavka, and Don McKinney. Seated: David Grace and Gary Millard. . . . The Orchestra this year made sever- al appearances in the area. Though small, the group plays quite a high caliber of mu- sic. One member, Lar- ry Williams, is ploy- ing in the Portland Jr. Symphony. ORCH ESTRA At the Piano: Jean Kalb. This group sings quarte music in the barbershop balla and negro spiritual lines.
