With Mr. Behrens as advisor, they have tried to give you a yearbook of which you can be proud. Although they seek no honors, a word of appreciation will do much to repay the long hours that were spent getting your yearbook to press. Incidentally, the pictures were taken before the strain and stress of meeting the deadline began to show on their faces. In the past few months, much time and effort has been expended to give you a yearbook you will cherish in the years to come. The Editor

INTRODUCTION A trophy symbolizes a past achieve- ment ... an earned reward for skill, deter- mination, diligence. And so we place our trophies in a trophy case as to remember the goals we have achieved. In the years ahead, we hope you will look back on Civic Memorial High School as more than a building, but more like a home, re- membering that it's not the bricks and stones which make the school but, rather, the values in human life and character which determine the true worth of the institution and your posi- tion as you go out into the world. In conclusion, we must say that Civic Memorial does indeed, differ from other schools because . . . please turn page '
