The Science Department MR. VICTOR DUBBELDE Department Head, Chemistry MR. RONALD STOLTZ Biology I, Psycholog)', Physi- ology The Science Department consists of four fields of study. General Science surveys scientific principles in a brief and non-technical manner, and it introduces the student to the scientific method. Biology is the study of both plants and animals. Representative phyla of both kingdoms are studied in numerous laboratory experiments. Chemistry is the science which attempts to explain the structure of matter and the changes which matter undergoes. Human Physiology constitutes the first semester of an advanced biology course. The second semester, Psychology was introduced for the first time in the department. It deals with motivation, social patterns, and personality. MR. I. J.
