Our Music Department The Civic Memorial Music Department provides a program to enrich the character of the students involved, and to provide happiness, citizenship, spiritual develop- ment, and patriotism to the listening audience. Each year the high school band must meet all of these challenges along with the mastery of their instru- ment, and the ability to think and reason quickly and accurately. Because of the high standards of the music department, seventy-five per cent of the students are on the high honor or honor roll. Activities of the music department include several concerts each year, football and basketball band, and an annual Spring Music Tour. MR. ERNEST L. OPP A lot of work in daily rehearsals is required to put together a concert program.
